The service
Guestbook World lets you make online guestbooks that visitors can sign, and lets anyone sign them. Using it is free. We may add, change or remove features over time.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to make an account.
- Use an email address you can read, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
Your guestbook
You decide what your guestbook says and which messages stay on it. You are responsible for the guestbook's title and welcome note and for keeping its messages in line with these terms. If you expect trouble, switch your guestbook to review mode so that nothing appears before you approve it.
Messages
Whoever signs a guestbook is responsible for what they write. By sending a message you allow it to be shown on that guestbook and its embedded copies, and allow the guestbook's owner to reply to it, hide it, delete it or download it.
What is not allowed
- spam, advertising and link building, in guestbooks or messages;
- anything illegal, and content that sexualizes minors;
- harassment, threats and hate against people or groups;
- malware, phishing and links to them;
- pretending to be someone else;
- posting other people's private information;
- automated sign-ups or messages, and attempts to get around our limits or spam checks.
We may remove content, guestbooks or accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. We do not read every guestbook, so please tell us about anything that breaks them.
Embedding
You may show your guestbook on your own website with the link, badge or embed code from your dashboard. Please keep the small credit line inside the embedded guestbook.
No guarantee
We work to keep Guestbook World running and your messages safe, but the service is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Download your messages now and then if they matter to you; the export is on the Messages page of each guestbook.
Liability
As far as the law allows, Guestbook World is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content that guestbook owners or visitors publish.
Changes and contact
When these terms change we update this page and the date at the top. Questions go through our contact form.
